The city’s prominent 1968-69 championship season is what inspired these socks to come up with their enveloping retro-like color scheme that the club used during its golden era. The third kit color way is so carefully chosen that it pays tribute to Manchester’s industrial past, and to the eye of an undisputed fan, among the little design details, they will instantly recognize the strategic stripe placement reminding of the classic kits and the nostalgic color blocking which whisks one away to Maine Road’s legendary atmosphere.
The ribbed cuff design is a reflection of the original styling of vintage football socks, while contemporary anatomical left/right foot construction guarantees that modern comfort is fused with timeless aesthetics.
